Why do I have to subscribe?
Anyone who is a subscriber to the ACLA website can add and share content on this website. Content in the Information Hub section of the website can only be viewed and added to by subscribers to secure accuracy of information. The ACLA website is a safe online space for the Children’s Literature community and industry, and by having a log in system we are improving the accuracy and relevance of the information included.
 
What do I get?
Access to the the project hub, events calendar, and the opportunity to add and contribute to them.  Subscribers can add to and view the project hub, a database that captures projects and initiatives in the children's and young adult sector across Australia. You can comment on projects for discussing and swapping information. Subscribers can also add their events to the events calendar. The calendar will allow the industry and community to plan events more cohesively and share them on one website.
 
Who can view my details?
The information hub section of the ACLA website is restricted to subscribers only. Only subscribers will be able to view the information you provide.
 

Is the information I provide moderated?
This website is moderated by ACLA. Any content you add will be approved by ACLA before being published on this website. By moderating submitted content ACLA ensures that no damaging content can be published.
 

What kind of projects can I add?
The project database is a collaborative tool to collect and share projects, good practice, developments and new initiatives easily. The project database will help you collaborate, find partners and ideas to develop projects and initiatives across the country.
Examples of projects to share include reader development, emerging author and illustrator development, community projects, literacy projects, professional development, special needs education projects, Indigenous literacy development etc.
 
How do I add an event to the events calendar?

  • Click on 'Add Event' and fill in all required fields.
  • The event will appear on the events calendar once it has been approved by the moderator.
  • You can only add events as a subscriber.

What kind of events can I add?
The event calendar is a tool for sharing events taking place in the children’s and young adult literature industry and community, such as author talks, awards, book launches, community events, festivals, forums, masterclasses, lectures and fundraisers, professional development, children’s events, school events etc. The event calendar is national and covers events Australia-wide. If you would like to add an international event that is not managed by your organisation, or alert us to an event in Australia that is not hosted by your organisation, please contact us.
 
How do I edit my pages?

  • Click on the 'edit' tab at the top of the page you want to edit. The view changes to an edit screen, and you can see several editing options.
  • Press Save Page (at the bottom of the page)
